The detail
Steel takes an impact that aluminium will not, so it is the usual choice for units that have been targeted before or that sit on a late-night street. The finished frontage is sealed to the structure and checked for level, square and smooth door operation before we leave.
Our approach
Most of our customers run one or two units and want the frontage sorted without closing for a week. We keep the process short: a visit, a written figure, then an installation date that works around the shop.

How much do steel shopfronts cost?
Steel shopfronts start at around £3,600 plus VAT. The real figure comes from the survey measurements. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
How long does it take?
Expect 5-6 weeks after drawing sign-off for manufacture. Fitting a standard your unit is normally one to two days on site. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.

Do I need planning permission near me?
Like-for-like replacements usually do not. Changing the appearance of the frontage, fitting an external roller shutter or adding an illuminated sign usually needs consent from your local council. We tell you which applies at survey.
How long does it take?
Lead time for steel shopfronts is typically 5-6 weeks after drawing sign-off. Installation itself is usually one to two days on site for a standard unit.
Can you work outside trading hours?
Yes, work can be arranged for a closed day or outside trading hours where the business cannot close. We agree it with you when booking.
